Hourly Plank

BeachBody Day76

I love doing plank to workout my core. I’ve been doing pretty good with the PlankADay challenge – doing a plank once a day. Today was Tone It Up’s Happy Hour Friday Challenge – you can find it on their monthly calendars :-) For this week, it was 30 reps of any exercise. I really couldn’t decide what to do when I got up this morning. I kept going back and forth between plank and pushups. I went with a 30 second plank :-) Headed out for a 3 mile run for my bootycall and started the happy hour challenge at 8a. Made it through 1p before I missed 2p and 3p. To make up for it I did a 1:30 plank.

Friday Happy Hour Challenge

Did my 5p Plank under a tree at the Park

Turbo Fire Day 74 – Part of the reason I missed the planks at 2p and 3p was because I did my Fire55EZ workout. I did all the jumps, tuck jumps, and jacks. I accidentally chose to Fire Up the music so I couldn’t hear the cues as well but I only fell behind a couple times. It was fun with the music turned up though :-) I think once I have the routine memorized and don’t really need the cues, I’ll be firing the music up again.

The Bikini Series Challenge was to do the Drop10 Slim Spin – 40 minutes of my favorite cardio. It was already dark when I could finally do it. I almost decided to skip it and do it for my bootycall tomorrow. But headed to the gym anyways. I’m not really sure I’d be able to head outside for my bootycall tomorrow either.  My knees were really tight so I went to the elliptical. I did a cross training program that had me pedal backwards and forwards.  It was different going backwards but I liked the change up.

Drop10 Slim Spin on Elliptical

Ended my hourly plank at 10p. Going to count that as my PlankADay :-)

Meals:

M1 – Multigrain raisin oatmeal with banana, almond butter, and chia seeds.

M2: Grapes and Zico.

M3: Beefless – beef lettuce wraps with tomatoes, avocado, and carrots. Yes, I have been having lots of lettuce wraps lately. I love them. They are so easy to make :-)

Made with TraderJoes Beefless Beef Strips

M4: Dark Choc Cherry and Cashew Kind Bar.

Craving some Dark Chocolate :-)

M5: Peppered Pork, bell peppers, and  black beans mixed together topped with avocado.

My Colorful Dinner

60 oz. water. 1 Zico.

I’m Going to be an Aunt!!

The Best news of the day: My brother called me tonight and told me that he and his wife are pregnant!! woo hoo! I’m finally going to be an Aunt! I am very excited and happy for my brother. He is going to be a Wonderful father.

Other good news: Ben is finally got his medical clearance to go back to work. It’s been over a month and it really didn’t have to take as long as it did. That’s the government for you :-P

BeachBody Day76 – I would have loved to do the Bikini Series challenge of the Drop10 Mojo Maker for my bootycall but Ben was at work early in the morning so I had to wait until after I dropped the boys off at school. I did the Drop10 Sculpting 12 reps X3s sets for my bootycall.

Morning Workout: Drop10 Mojo Maker on the elliptical 30 min. Followed with Turbo Fire.

Drop10 Mojo Maker

Turbo Fire Day 74 – I went for all the tuck jumps today for HIIT25. omg! That was soooo hard. I’m glad that I did the elliptical earlier because my knees were feeling it after I was done with the HIIT workout. I’m still sore from the Bikini Bootcamp workout so Tone30 was a little tough for me today. I really like the exercise with the lower body band that works the quads.

Afternoon Workout: I didn’t know what to do for my later workout. Part of it was because I wasn’t sure when Ben was coming home. If he got home early enough I thought I’d go for a bike ride. But he didn’t. Luckily Tone It Up posted their Throw Back Thursday workout: Beach Babe from last year’s Bikini Series. I really liked this one. When I looked at today, I realized that I was doing reps but the print out had 20-30 sec intervals.  I created an interval workout with my gymboss timer app and did 30 seconds for each exercise X3 rounds. This had me sweating!

Beach Babe X3

Another part of today’s Bikini Series challenge was a 30min walk after dinner. I loved this idea – only problem was that it was raining and the boys were really fussy tonight. I had to wait until after I put them to bed and then I hit the gym. Walked on the elliptical for 30 min with an incline.

30min walk on an incline – Started at 8 ended at 3.

Found a 5min ab routine from Self Magazine that I wanted to try out. It took me a little longer than 5min. It was really tough. The reverse plank move was the hardest for me. I wasn’t good at balancing myself while crunching. Ended with 25 pushups and a 5min plank with tummy tucks and side planks.

1min plank, 1min tummy tucks, 30 sec side plank each side, 1min tummy tucks, 1 min plank

Meals:

M1: Chobani Champions Very Berry with almond butter and chia seeds. My favorite go to quick breakfast.

M2: grapes

M3: Lettuce wraps with shredded chicken, tomatoes, mangos, and avocado. Snapea Crisps on the side.

Lunch!

M4: Luna bar.

M5: Left over Panko Chicken with Turkey Spinach Red Sauce on top. Broccoli on the side. Basically just finished off all the left overs that no one else wanted to eat.

80 oz. water.

Feeling the Bikini Bootcamp

BeachBody Day75 – Turbo Fire Rest Day

I could feel the Bikini Bootcamp workout from yesterday when I woke up this morning :-/ Sore legs and sore chest and I’m happy about it :-) It means that I really worked hard yesterday. I’ll have to do that one again soon. Despite being sore, I got up to do a 40min bootycall. I did Under the Seax3 and Beach Bumx3. These were tough with sore legs.

Morning workout was Bikini Abs and Bikini Booty from Tone It Up’s Beach Babe DVD :-)

Afternoon workout was a 5 mile run. Ended with a 3min plank.

Meals:

M1: Chobani Honey with granola and chia seeds. This was the regular size and it was sooo filling.

Grown up Chobani :-)

M2: Half a grapefruit with stevia.

One of my Favorites!

M3: Chocolate Shakeology with unsweetened almond milk, spinach, and frozen blueberries.

M4: Almond Coconut Kind Bar.

M5: Salmon Patty topped with fresh pineapple, mushrooms, tomatoes, and avocado on top of spinach with a side of kale chips.

60 oz. of water and 1 Zico.

It’s May Already?!

BeachBody Day74

I really can’t believe that it’s already May!! The year is almost half over :-/ Where did the time go? I swear it feels like 2012 just started. Lol. I guess I’m having fun cuz time sure is flying :-)

I went back to my usual today. I could have taken another easy day. But for me, if I allow myself to slack, I just kind of spiral downward. lol. So I kicked myself in the butt and got to it today. Bootycall was the Drop10 SculptingX3. It was my kid free/Ben free morning :-) I did relax for a little bit before heading out for a 3 mile run. It felt great to run. My legs were happy that there weren’t any hills.

Turbo Fire Day 72 – After my run, I did Fire45 :-) You should know by now that it’s my favorite. I did all the tuck jumps! I really wish I had a heart rate monitor to keep track of my calories burned because I went all out today.

Afternoon workout was the new Tone It Up LiveStrong Bikini Bootcamp. OMG!! This was a workout!!! I decided to do 7 rounds and thought I’d do another workout afterwards. After that last beep,  I was done! Plyometrics is hard for me to do with my knees but the only exercise that was really hard were the lunge jumps.  Those were more like lunge skips but I still worked my legs. I will definitely be feeling this tomorrow.

Interval Timer for Tone It Up’s Bikini Bootcamp

All done with 7 rounds of Bikini Bootcamp!

Ending with a 5min plank and 25 pushups :-)

Meals:

M1 – Egg white scramble.

M2: Half a grapefruit w/ stevia.

M3: Left over Brown Rice Spaghetti with turkey spinach red sauce – again. I wanted to finish it off.

M4: Almond Nut Thins and Olive Tapenade.

Crunchy snack :-)

M5: Left over Teriyaki Salmon with Broccoli and brussel sprouts.

Salmon and Greens :-)

60 oz. water and a Zico.

Taking It Easy

BeachBody Day73

Even though I was still very very tired, I forced myself out of bed. It was one of those rare days that I could actually go outside for a bootycall because Ben was home. I would have gone for a run but I decided give my legs a little rest. I went for a nice walk. My legs were still a little tight so I didn’t go at the fast pace that I usually do.

Beautiful Morning for a walk

Turbo Fire Day 71 – I kept it low impact for HIIT25 but it was still a tough workout. I was so tired before I even started. I didn’t really get all that much rest from running my race. But I gave it all I had. Sculpt30 was tough too. I was sore from it right after I finished.

Tone It Up’s Bikini Series challenge for the day was the Drop10 Calorie Torcher. I hit the gym but went to the elliptical to save my knees. I usually like to up the resistance for my work interval and not focus on going faster but just keep going.  I might not be going fast but my heart is racing on the high resistance. I didn’t have the energy for that so I lowered the resistance a little and “sprinted” for the 1min work interval. Worked up a great sweat :-)

Drop 10 Calorie Torcher on elliptical

Ended with the plank combo from Emma and Sophie: 25 pushups (on knees) and a 5min plank with tummy tucks and side planks.

Meals: I totally forgot that it was my meatless Monday day :-/ By the time I realized it I had already had some meat so I’ll have to do a different meatless day this week.

M1: Maple Nut Oatmeal with almond butter and chia seeds.

M2: Luna bar.

M3: Left overs of what the boys had last night – Brown Rice Spaghetti with turkey spinach red sauce and peas.

M4: Larabar

M5: Panko Chicken and broccoli

Panko Chicken and Broccoli

80 oz. water.

In Love with Big Sur

BeachBody Day72 – Sunday – Big Sur International Marathon!!

Those that follow me on Twitter and Facebook know that Big Sur went well :-) I had a blast!! The weather was perfect and it was just an absolutely beautiful run. I was so happy to share the experience with my Aunt and Sister. We all did better than we had expected :-)

Our morning started early. My aunt’s 21miler had her up at 3a :-/ We did not envy her. She said that she didn’t sleep for more than a couple hours because she was nervous. And despite that she still beat her training time and came in under 4 hours! Way to go Aunt San!! My sister’s 5K and my 9miler started at the same time. We were up at 5a.  We got dressed and packed up because my aunt had already checked us out when she left for her race. At first I thought her race would start before mine. We were happy to be able to start together. My sister ran her whole 5K – which she hadn’t planned on doing because of her hip – and beat her expected time too. I am so proud of both of them.

I was separated from my sister early on. I tend to get very focused and just run.  Our courses split after a run on a trail by the water. It was just so beautiful. I wish I could have stopped to take pictures and just take it all in, but I had to keep running. It was 50 degrees and overcast when we started. I really couldn’t have asked for better weather. It’s what I’m use to running in. What I wasn’t use to were the hills :-/ I knew that there would be some hills, but I wasn’t expecting it to be hill after hill. lol. Not that they were all big hills, but it there wasn’t all that much flat areas. It would level off and then I was going either up or down again. I could definitely feel my booty getting worked! I didn’t run with music because I wanted to enjoy the course.  There was plenty of entertainment.  There was a Samba band, a flute player, a guy playing the bag pips, a band singing, and people cheering you on all through out the course. It also helped that there was just beautiful scenery throughout the course. The beginning took us through a really nice neighborhood in Carmel. I would love to live in one of those houses. There were several ocean views and the run through the park was wonderful. It felt like I was running through my grandfather’s property.

I had my phone in my belt so I didn’t see what my time or pace was. I had no concept of how time at all. There were only a couple mile markers that I could see.  The 1 mile point and the 25mile marker which marked the last mile for all the courses. I felt like I was running slower because of the hills and that I was getting passed up. When I could feel it in my legs I was hoping that I was getting close to the end.  During training, it was the last couple miles that my legs would start to feel tired and my knees got achy. This time, I could feel my booty and my calves too.  I loved that there were people all throughout the last half mile cheering you on. It was so cute to see the little kids cheering.  They also had cardboard cut outs that were funny.

I could hear the announcer as I got closer to the finish line. I used everything I had left to go faster at the end. I almost couldn’t believe that I was done when I crossed the finish line. It didn’t feel like I had been running for over an hour.  A girl came up to me and handed me a finisher medal and I wound up posing for photo. I was directed towards the tents and told to grab a brown paper bag and go. I took half a blueberry muffin that was offered to me and called my sister to find out where she was. She wasn’t expecting me for a while so she was a little shocked when I called her. We stretched out and went to starbucks for coffee and tea. We had a couple hours before my Aunt was expected to finish her race so we walked around the Finisher’s Village. There were tents for the special groups and sponsors. You couldn’t miss the Michelobe Ultra tent if you tried. lol.

We decided to go to finish line and watch the racers come in. I was very inspired by the marathoners crossing the finish line. Many had big smiles on their faces as they crossed that finish line. I loved how many of the spectators cheered all of the runners on at the end. There was just so much positive energy and excitement. I was impressed by those that did the Boston to Big Sur. I really can’t imagine running one marathon and then running a second one only 13 days later :-/ We were trying to catch our Aunt coming across the finish line. We watched for two hours and then we started to think we must have missed her. My sister got a call from a local number it was my Aunt calling from someone’s phone. She had finished an hour earlier. lol. We met her at the Info booth. Obviously we didn’t have a post race meet up plan set up. We asked a volunteer to take a picture of us then headed out to lunch. I was starving! I decided to have 1 slice of pesto pizza as a treat. Then it was time to drive home. I had to fight falling asleep O_o I was sooo tired all the way home.

Turbo Fire Day 70 – I did not get a chance to rest once I did get home. Ben went to run some errands which meant I had the boys to take care of and it was almost dinner time. I forced myself to do my Turbo Fire workout for the day. I kept it low impact on the fire drills for Fire30 but I gave the workout everything I had left. Stretch10 was great. My sore muscles enjoyed the extended stretch.

I have to Thank my boys for being extremely good that night.  They saw that I was extremely tired and didn’t make things hard for me. They ate their dinner and went to bed without any trouble.  They also gave me Big Hugs to make me feel better :-)

I know that I didn’t have to do a plank for the night, but I told myself that I could do anything for 1min so I did a one minute plank on my elbows :-)

Meals –

M1: Whole Wheat Bagel Thin w/ Almond Butter and a banana. Zico to drink.

Carried a 20 oz. bottle with Zico for my run. Stopped at the last 2 aid stations for water.

M2: Half of a blueberry muffin and Starbucks Iced Green Tea/ Luna bar and Chocolate Zico.

M3: 1 Slice of Pest Pizza from Pizza My Heart and a Chicken Walnut Salad.

Chicken Walnut Salad w/ Balsamic Vinegar Dressing

My slice of pesto pizza :-)

M4: Almond Coconut Kind bar – on the ride home.

M5: Quinoa w/ turkey spinach red sauce.

Love quinoa and red sauce.

60 oz. water and 3 Zicos.

A Hectic Day

BeachBody Day71 – Saturday

I’m surprised I can remember Saturday. It was such a Hectic Day! I had two tball games to film, pack, and get to Monterey no later than 6p so I could pick up my packet for the race on Sunday. It was both good and bad that the first game wasn’t until 11a. Good because I could get my workouts done for the day before leaving. Bad because that meant I couldn’t leave until later. Started with a 30 min walk at a brisk pace.

Such a clear day in the bay.

Turbo Fire Day 69 – After breakfast it was HIIT20/Tone30. I kept it low impact on the HIIT workout. It probably sounds crazy that I would do this the day before my race, but it was the only workout I did for the day so I had plenty of time to rest – kind of. lol.

In between the games, I packed and had lunch. I made sure to pack my Tone It Up lunch box with snacks for the drive and breakfast for the next day. I wanted to be able to have my Whole Wheat Bagel thin, almond butter, and banana :-) I double checked to make sure I had my belt, shoes, running clothes, socks, sunblock, and hat packed. I loaded up my car and headed to Gio’s game. As soon as it was over, I said good bye and headed for Monterey – where the Health and Fitness Expo was being held.

My handsome little tball player :-)

I actually made pretty good time. There wasn’t any traffic on the way there. The problem was when I got to Monterey. I wind up in the wrong lane and kept going the opposite of my directions :-/ I’m not all that great with my sense of direction and I easily get lost. I probably spent at least an extra half hour driving around Monterey. Lol The one lucky thing was that I was able to find a decent place to park. At the Expo, I found my way to the packet pick up. I handed them my ID and the lady handed my my bib/d-tag and wished my luck on my race. That was it. I went downstairs and walked around the Expo…. Realized I forgot my water bottle so I bought one at a vendor booth for $10 – not too bad. Also got 2 for $15 hats – I just couldn’t pass it up. lol.  I figured I was all set so I headed out to meet my Aunt and Sister at the hotel.  They had already arrived a few hours earlier and were sight seeing. I was already a half hour later than what I had planned.

Snack and Breakfast Packed

Lunch Box right next to me :-)

Drove through this tunnel twice.

Made it to the Expo!

This way to pick up my bib and d-tag.

Spent only 10 min at the Expo

2 for $15 Hats :-)

Walking back to my car – a block away.

Cool Artwork.

Corner where I parked.

Then I got lost again :-/ I passed the hotel and thought I had turned around to get back to it. Turns out, I was on my back to the freeway. I was tired and really frustrated at this point. I’ve been driving for close to 3 hours and I was done! I try not to panic when I get lost. I just keep trying to find my back. Somehow I make it to the hotel. I was so relieved and happy  – but that was short lived. My aunt and sis ask to see my shirt… what shirt? My race shirt… OMG! I didn’t get my shirt!! The lady never gave me one. Apparently I was suppose to pick it up at the Expo – but not in the same room as the Expo but a separate room. WTH? I was kind of upset about this. I like to wear my race shirt for the races. There wasn’t anything or anyone that told me about the shirt while I was there. So why didn’t I go back to the Expo? Well it just so happened to be 5 till when I find this out. The Expo would have ended before I could even park. On top of that I didn’t get my sweats bag or pins for my bib – which were also in this special room at the Expo. My Aunt was optimistic in me getting one before the race while my sister was a bit pessimistic about it. There wasn’t much I could do but wait until morning.

Aunt San driving us to dinner :-)

Passing by the docks.

We went out to dinner at a really good Italian restaurant. Really fresh pasta. I ordered the Cannelloni with Spinach and Ricotta – the same as my Aunt. My sister order some Gnocchi with a glass of wine. We laughed and had a great time. My sister and I shared a unique Tiramisu dessert. I’ve never had Tiramisu the way they served it, but it was amazing! You could definitely taste the rum :-)

A really great and fresh Italian Restaurant.

Sis enjoying some wine :-) I stuck with water.

My sister’s gnocchi.

We headed back to the hotel and got ready for bed since we all had to be up early the next morning. Despite a some what stressful day, I slept well. I think I was just so tired that I didn’t have much time to worry about the race like I usually do :-)

Meals:

M1: Larabar and lots of water.

M2: Apple

M3: Salmon, quinoa and brussel sprouts

M4: Pop Chips

M5: Cannelloni w/ spinach and ricotta. Split a some tiramisu with my sister :-)

Everything was freshly made.

The most interesting tiramisu I’ve ever had.

80 oz. of water.

Exercising My Will Power

BeachBody Day 70

It’s not always easy to stay on track.  Some days it’s really hard, like today. Ben brought came back with Taco Bell after going to the doctor’s office and boy was it tempting to have some of those yummy looking nachos!! Luckily I was able to keep myself busy by folding the mountain of laundry for the boys.  It was out of necessity that I folded them because that was the only way I was going to find Gio’s uniform for his game. lol. For the most part, I’ve been able to stay away from fast foods since last August. If I wind up at a fast food place, I will go for a salad if they have one, or I’ll just wait until I get home. Taco Bell was one of my favorites! Giving up fast foods was my choice and I believe that it has to be Ben’s choice in order for him to stick to it so I don’t force him to give it up. I do try my hardest to always have food at home, but I am not his mother and he is free to eat what he likes. Yes, this does cause friction at times, but we work through it. The junk food fest continued at dinner when he ordered pizza for him and the boys. I was pretty tired and could have easily pigged out. I wanted to. But I didn’t. Instead, I made myself my own food – which I do a lot.  It would have been easier to just join the boys, but I know that I would have felt badly about it. I’m really glad that my will power was strong enough tonight :-) Another mental battle won!

Workouts:

Bootycall – Tone It Up’s Self Magazine Drop10 SculptingX3

Turbo Fire Day 68: Fire55EZ  for my morning workout. The more I do this one, the more I like it. It’s got some really great combos. I modified the tuck jumps to make it lower impact for my knees but I did do all the jacks :-)

Afternoon workout: NTC Kickin’ It – Reached the 1250min SpitFire Badge!! I haven’t done an NTC workout in a while but it never fails to get me sweating. Looking forward to getting to 1500min so I can unlock the Jeanette Jenkins Ultimate Hollywood Workout. Also did Drop10 Leaner Loop. Went for an easy 30min jog before the sun went down. No head phones. It was nice to just run.

Finished with a the same combo plank challenge I did last night: 25 pushups on my knees then 1min plank, 1min tummy tucks, 30 sec side plank each side, 1min tummy tucks and 1min plank. I really have no idea how I managed to do this because I was so tired.

Today’s Tone It Up Calendar challenge for Happy Hour Friday was to write down 1 thing every hour that we are Grateful for or that makes us Happy. I really liked this idea since it makes us focus on the good things for a minute. I kept track on my iPhone from 7a – 10p.

A Day full of Happiness :-)

Meals:

M1: Tried a different Chobani Champions: Very Berry with almond butter and chia seeds. I didn’t think I’d like this as much compared to the Chocolate Chunk, but I do. It’s sooo good :-)

Very Berry is Very Yummy :-)

M2: Grapes.

M3: Left over Salmon and Quinoa/peas mix wrapped in lettuce with fresh avocado and tomatoes.

Made Left overs into Lettuce Wraps for lunch.

M4: Luna bar.

M5: Turkey Meatballs and Brussel Sprouts. Zico to drink.

Turkey meatballs and brussels sprouts instead of pizza and bread sticks.

80 oz. of water 1 Zico.

If you’re wondering why my titles change…. One, I’m experimenting and seeing which way I like to title my posts. Two, sometimes I can think of a title that I really like. Three, and sometimes I can’t. lol. Tonight would be one of those nights where I can’t really think of anything creative. I guess I’m worn out from spending the day on my lap top :-/ Too bad I’m still way behind on videos for my boys :-( I’m planning on getting back on track after my race… which is only a few days away!! yikes!

Bootycall – Tone It Up’s Under the Sea 12 reps X3sets

Spent most of my morning working on my blog and organizing videos.

Turbo Fire Day 67 – HIIT25 didn’t feel that much longer. It’s 4 routines 2X each. I noticed that the routines were a little bit longer than the ones from HIIT15/HIIT20. We did a few more reps of each of the moves – which was quite tiring when it was the sumo squats and anything with tuck jumps.  But it still goes by fast :-) I modified the tuck jumps. With my race being a few days away, I decided that I better take it easy on my knees.  Sculpt30 was a little painful because my arms were still sore. Usually I am adding resistance but today, I eased off a bit so I could actually finish the sets. It still burned a lot! But I pushed through :-)

Tone It Up’s Bikini Series Challenge for today was SELF Magazine’s Drop10 Size Shrinker HIIT. I decided to do this on the treadmill on an incline.  I have no idea what the course is going to be like but since Big Sur is known for it’s hills, I’m assuming that there will be some hills even on my course. I figured one more day of hill training wouldn’t hurt.

Drop10 SizeShrinker with 1min warmup and 5min cool down. Incline between 3-5 and at 10 for cool down.

Still smiling after finishing Size Shrinker :-)

Seppe loves to go to the pool when I go to the gym. While I workout, Ben and the boys go swimming. We all get some exercise :-)

Ended with a combination of two plank challenges from two Tone It Up Sisters – Sophie and Emma.  Sophie’s was 25 pushups, 50 sec plank and 30 sec side plank each side.  Emma’s was that killer 5min plank with tummy tucks. I started with 25 pushups on my knees. My arms are so dead that I knew the only way I was doing 25 at one time was on my knees. But I will be working on doing 25 regular pushups :-) Then I did a 1min plank, 1min tummy tucks, 30sec side plank each side, 1min plank and ended with 1min of tummy tucks. It was tough! I will try to do this one more often because it is a nice challenge :-)

Meals:

M1: Protein Pancake with cocoa almond butter. All out of strawberries :-(

M2: Grapes with Air popped popcorn.

M3: Chocolate Shakeology with pineapple, mango, and avocado.

M4: Almond Coconut Kind bar.

M5: Left over Chicken, spinach, quinoa, mushrooms, and bell peppers.

Left overs for dinner. Using one the boys bowl.

100 oz. of water!!

A Lazy Day

BeachBody Day68 – Turbo Fire Rest Day

Wednesday was a bit of a lazy day for me. I still got up to do my bootycall workout: Tone It Up’s Sand Castle X3set. I did 15 reps of each exercise. I was sore from my workouts yesterday and I could feel my sore muscles while I was working out.

After I dropped Gio off at school, it was time to do some homework with Seppe. I’ve been really making an effort to work with Seppe and get him ready for school. I had no motivation at all to workout. Instead of a morning workout, I took a nap and I didn’t want to get up at all. Maybe it’s PMS. I have no clue. I pulled myself out of bed because I didn’t want to be up all night long. I kept putting off my afternoon workout. I finally hit the gym before dinner. I did a short 15min HIIT on the bike. It’s the first Wednesday in a long time that I get to do my booty workouts (I’ve been doing long runs on Wednesdays lately). I’m tapering down before my 9 mile race on Sunday.

After the gym, I decided to do the Bikini Booty workout with Katrina from the Beach Babe DVD in honor of Hump Day :-) This really burned, especially after the HIIT on the bike. I also did a booty workout from BodyRockTv. It was a quick 3min one. I didn’t have a sand bag but I used my medicine ball instead. After the previous workouts, it really burned.

I ended with a 5min plank. I alternated positions in 30 sec intervals (hands, tummy tucks, hands, tummy tucks, side plank each side, hands, tummy tucks, elbows, hip dips).

Meals –

M1: Protein Pancake with cocoa almond butter and strawberries.

Had Protein Pancakes with my boys :-) So thrilled they like it.

M2: Bowl of grapes and Green Tea.

Snack time for Seppe: Larabar and an apple.

M3: Chicken, spinach, mushrooms, quinoa, bell peppers, tomatos, and avocado lettuce wrap with mango on the side.

This was very tasty :-)

M4: Luna bar.

M5: Teriyaki Salmon with quinoa, spinach, and mushroom mix.

Spinach and peas are about the only thing I have left that are green. Need to get to the grocery store asap!

80 oz. water. 1c. of green tea.
